3D Warehouse. I love you.
If you have been watching my 30-day challenge posts, you’ve seen some of the work I have created using SketchUp. One of the projects I have been working on has been a recording space for faculty to create videos, podcasts, screen recordings, and much more. It’s been a great project for me to learn SketchUp as well as a helpful tool to visualize spacial requirements and usability of the items we are considering for purchase.
Honestly, I was not looking forward to working on the smaller models for mobile devices, etc. because of the detail and time involved. Then I got email from SketchUp reminding me about 3D Warehouse (which couldn’t have been timed any better).
3d Warehouse is a website dedicated to storing and sharing 3d models created by the SketchUp community. I was quite amazing of how extensive their model library was. So, you can probably imagine how elated I was when I found many of the models I was painfully planning to create myself. A simple click to download, copy, and paste. Voila!
